Berrien County Intermediate School District
The Berrien County Education for Employment (EFE) initiative is an educational reform movement changing the way students learn in Michigan's Great Southwest. Education for Employment creates well-marked pathways students can follow to move from K-12 to post-secondary education, technical training, and finally, to successful careers.
Because learning does not cease following completion of a degree program, the Education for Employment system operates under the philosophy that learning is a life-long process, with K-12 instruction simply a basic structure onto which life skills are built.
Through partnerships with schools, business and community organizations, Education for Employment (EFE) seeks to equip our young people with the academic and employability skills needed for success in the workplace.
