Venture Capital
Now more than ever, Michigan offers venture capital. Not only has Michigan seen a 300% increase in the amount of venture capital available to companies, but we have moved from 37th nationally to 15th in one year's time, the largest single jump of any state.
Michigan is a Tax-Cutting Leader
The New York Times reported that the 50 states cut taxes by $12.7 billion during fiscal years 1995 - 1997, but just three states accounted for 71% of those costs. Michigan's $2.8 billion in cuts for those years where featured, although total cuts since 1991 now exceed $6.5 billion. The article also notes Michigan's Rainy Day Fund, now worth over $1 billion.
