Libraries
Almost every community in Michigan's Great Southwest has a public library. There are also a few educational media centers, as well as several specialty and academic libraries. Once you get settled into your community of choice, sign up for a card and dig in! Many of the libraries have wonderful programs for kids, too, plus book clubs and more!

Community Services
Our region offers a wide range of services, from counseling and mental health, to crime and violence prevention, education and employment, family/child/youth services, health and wellness, legal issues, and veteran's services. Self-help Resources
The Center for Self-Help is a resource center that provides services for Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren County residents. It aids emerging groups, and supports training activities for group leaders, and links people who share concerns or advocacies. Municipal Services
Municipal trash collection and water/sewage sources vary greatly across Southwest Michigan. For more information, contact your city, village, or township hall. If you live outside city or village limits, look for a list of townships in your phone book. Township representatives may be able to assist you with your questions.
Movie Theaters
What's a Saturday night without a good movie? We have lots of options to keep you entertained.
Harbors
To get a copy of the booklet, "Michigan's Harbors Guide," write: Department of Natural Resources, Recreational Division, P.O. Box 30257, Lansing, MI 48909. It lists all of Michgan's public harbors along Lake Michigan and the other Great Lakes.

Another popular indoor "sport" in our region - there are alleys peppered throughout our region. You'll find lots of league action.
